In the late 1800’s, Canadian Pacific Railway President, Sir William Van Horne decided to develop a self-sustained summer estate only accessible by land when the ocean tide is out. The estate had its own power and electric lighting, along with livestock and a bathhouse.

This is the only albino peacock I have ever seen: it was in a wildlife sanctuary in Australia’s Blue Mountains. (fall of 2007)
