Hats off to all professional proof-readers out there! Talk about a tedious yet ever so important job. I’m working through my editor’s mark-ups, and learning to pick a lane for editing style: Chicago, AP, and many more pop up when I browse for best practice–it’s a complex world!

This National Geographic docu-drama (released 2016 by exec-producers Ron Howard & Brian Grazer) is well worth a watch–an intriguing science documentary intercut with scripted drama about imaginable possibilities in the near future. It helped me write part of myβupcoming book π

Okay, I’ve officially submitted my ideas to my book cover designer and map illustrator. Colour me excited! π€

Read aloud, you say. Trying out something different to edit my upcoming book – a new lens. The software reads my story out loud to me, while I try to pick up on glitches I may have missed on previous edits. It’s okay when reading straight prose, but when reading dialogue, it sounds pretty weird – doesn’t get the gist of speech inflections π

My concept of celebrating the New Year – add a flute of champagne to my comfy onesie with Olaf from Frozen π Cheers π
