Diction and Spelling: Frequently, poor diction/enunciation can lead to misunderstanding and poor grammar as a result. A good example is the word ‘seen’ which requires a participle like ‘have or had’. However, the diction of the contraction “I’ve” is often slurred in speech so that people don’t hear “ve” and assume they’ve heard “I seen”. Only ‘saw’ can be used without a participle. πAre we confused yet? #writingtips #diction #grammar #verbs @nelming
